Cost-Effective Pilot Scale Production Of Bioethanol” Project Is Ongoing Between Bartin University And Pakistan Goverment College University Lahore (GCU)

Within the scope of Pak-Turk Project-based agreement of Higher Education Institution, Attia HAMID, PhD student working at the project titled as “Cost Effective Pilot Scale Production of Bioethanol” conducted by our university and Government College University Lahore (GCU) and came to our university to perform the experiments, and the project manager Prof. Dr. Ahmet KARADAĞ have visited our University President Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun.

Attia HAMID has mentioned about bioethanol production studies related to the work she has performed both at GCU and Biotechnology Research Laboratory of our university. Attia HAMID, who stated that high yield of bioethanol could be obtained from the forest roses, hazelnut shell and hazelnut cobs from the herbal wastes used in the Black Sea Region, also added that she has learnt silver nanoparticle synthesis by “green synthesis” method and antimicrobial testing studies in our university. She said that she learned new strategies and techniques by joining the project, thus she was very pleased to be here.

Our University President Orhan UZUN expressed his gratitude to Attia HAMID for having important contributions to bioethanol studies in our university and her further visits to our university again in coming years. A gift was presented to Attia HAMID after a Turkish coffee with a warm conversation.
